Starting Sept. 11, Health Services will host free flu shot clinics on Wednesdays (1 to 3 p.m.) and Fridays (9 to 11 a.m.) in Building 26. No appointments are needed and the shots are free, while supplies last.

Weight Watchers at Work Starts Sept. 5
Health Services will offer the Weight Watchers at Work program on Thursdays from Sept. 5 through Jan. 9 with weigh-ins at 11:15 and meetings at 11:30 a.m. There is no cost for the program. If you’re interested in joining, call Health Services at ext. 6266 or ext. 5334 or email clwentworth@lbl.gov.
Dying Sequoia Near Building 33 To Be Removed Thursday
One of the giant sequoia redwoods near Building 33 needs to be removed. The Lab’s consulting arborist says the tree is dying and has become a falling hazard. Removal of this tree should promote the health of the other sequoias in the grove. The tree will be chipped on-site and returned to the earth.

UCPD received a report yesterday of a mountain lion sighting that occurred on Wednesday, July 17, at 9 a.m. on the Upper Fire Trail in the hills above campus, near Skyline Ridge, south of Centennial Drive.
