The Lab will close for the annual holiday break starting Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2. During the closure, Operations will be working on a modified schedule. Lab Director Michael Witherell delivered a talk about the Lab’s namesake, Nobel Laureate Ernest Lawrence, and the evolution of science at the Lab, during a Nobel Day celebration held Friday at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center in Lead, South Dakota.

The Lab’s annual Holiday Craft Fair will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria dining hall.
