Facilities is planning electrical maintenance shutdowns to several Lab buildings on July 13 and August 10. To facilitate the erection of scaffolding for Buildings 50A and 50B, Perlmutter Road will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, until 6 p.m. Sunday, May 5. On April 22 and 23, Lawrence and Lee Roads will have traffic controls. On April 24, the road behind Building 71 will close, and the nearby M2 parking will close from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Chamberlain Road will close between McMillan Road and Building 81 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on April 25. https://pim.lbl.gov/resource/site-construction-map-updates/
On Saturday, April 13, Glaser Road will be closed between Building 32 and Lawrence Road as part of the Building 77A Addition Project. The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A flagger will be posted to direct traffic. The Lab’s cafeteria lobby has an updated look, including large-screen monitors that provide information about the Lab’s scientific work, as well as comfortable seating.
