August 15 was a hot day, but it didn’t deter Lab staff who showed up at the Berkeley Senior Service Center to make walkways safer, scrape and paint windows, and clean the kitchen area before applying a cheery coat of yellow paint. Scientific Adventures for Girls is in need of virtual teaching assistants for their after school programming this fall. Rebuilding Together East-North Bay is seeking volunteers to make improvements to the West Berkeley Service Center, which provides nutrition, transportation, and other services for seniors.
