Volodymyr Vovchenko, a research fellow at the Lab in 2020, will receive the 2022 IUPAP Commission of Nuclear Physics Young Investigator Prize, awarded every three years, for his work on the theory of hot and dense nuclear matter. Ilan Gur, founder of Cyclotron Road and CEO of Activate, will become CEO of the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), the UK’s new independent science funding body.
