No COVID Test Sample Pick Up On Monday, Feb. 21
In observance of the Presidents Day holiday, the Lab will be closed on Monday, Feb. 21. COVID test kit samples dropped off on Monday will not be picked up by the testing company until Tuesday, Feb. 22. Lab Required to Follow Federal Mask Mandates
Per federal mask mandates, the Lab will continue to require masks indoors for everyone at this time. Horseshoe Lot COVID Testing Location Closing Friday
The Horseshoe Lot COVID testing site, set up to handle the Omicron surge, will close on Friday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. Testing for those working at Lab sites will still be available in the lobbies of Potter Street and the Building 50 auditorium, and in room 220A next to the kitchen in Building 76. https://covid.lbl.gov/home/testing-at-the-lab
New On-site Requirement for Face Covers
Effective immediately, unfiltered cloth face covers alone will no longer be allowed at Lab sites. You must wear a surgical mask, a KN95 or KF94 mask, an N95 respirator, or a filtered cloth face cover. Order Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests
The U.S. government is offering four free Covid-19 tests for every household and has set up a website allowing people to order tests to be shipped directly to their homes.
