There are only a few days left in the Summer Food Bank Drive. Lab employees have raised more than $11K for food banks across the Bay Area, and the four Bay Area national labs have collectively raised over $31K. Applications for Workforce Development & Education’s spring internships are now open. These 15-week internships include programs such as SULI, CCI, and BLUR. Spring 2023 internships will begin on January 17 and will conclude on April 26. The application deadline is October 5. https://education.lbl.gov/internships/
Volunteers represented the Lab at various events this past June, from the San Francisco Pride Weekend events to sorting food at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. The Bay Area’s four DOE national labs are hosting a Summer Food Bank Drive benefiting local food banks from July 1-31. As of July 13, Berkeley Lab has raised $2,225, and together the four labs have raised $16,965. This virtual employers-only, all-day workshop instructs employers on how to recruit Florida A&M University students and alumni through breakout sessions, a student panel, and presentations by the representatives of various academic colleges.
