The California Efficiency and Demand Management Council recently awarded Charles Goldman the 2019 Art Rosenfeld Lifetime Achievement Award. Goldman, a staff scientist in the Energy Technologies Area, has researched electricity markets and policy issues for more than three decades. https://eta.lbl.gov/people/charles-goldman

Haimei Zheng (Materials Sciences Division) was selected to receive the MRS Medal from the Materials Research Society for her research on anisotropic nanoscale materials, transformation, and application. Jay Keasling, JBEI’s chief executive officer, will be awarded the Doing a World of Good Medal by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
